About Individual ID
This ID enables you to use all CiNii functions regardless of institutional affiliation.
The annual registration fee is 2,100 yen.
Paid content can be viewed at lower rates than by using the Pay Per View service without an ID.
Services available to users with an Individual ID

Applications for Individual IDs can be made by anyone from any location.
By logging in with an Individual ID, paid full text content can be viewed at lower rates than with Pay Per View.
You may freely select your preferred ID, and can continue to use the same ID for as long as you renew.

Note 1: If you're logging in with an "Individual ID" instead of "Site License Individual ID", usage fees will be charged even if you are using a computer terminal at an institution with a contract.
Note 2: Some academic society members are eligible for special rates. We recommend that you register the academic society you belong to in your user information.
- Scope of service
All CiNii features can be used - ID term of validity
The ID is valid for one year from the first day you start using the ID. By following the renewal procedure before expiration you may continue to use the same ID. - Service fees
The annual registration fee of 2,100 yen will be charged at same time as your first service fee payment.
Note that if the user terminates service partway through the year, the CiNii registration fee will not be refunded.
Registering for an Individual ID
To register, either click the New Registration button on the CiNii front page or select Individual ID Application on the application page.
