Databases Incorporated

CiNii incorporates the following databases, enabling users to search for articles and Authors from a large volume of data.
The work of unifying different databases is ongoing, steadily making CiNii easier to use.
As of October 2011, the number of articles which can be searched is about 15 million. (Excelude Citation information)

Institutional Repository （Universities, etc.）	IR *See NOTE 2	◎Full text documents available ◎Partial abstracts available Institutional Repository is archive system installed for research institutions, such as universities to collect, accumulate, and store their intellectual products in an electronic form and disclose them for free. Although integrated search service JAIRO of Japanese institutional repositories is offered by National Institute of Informatics, searching for articles is enabled also by CiNii. J-STAGE,Journal@rchive （Japan Science and Technology Agency）	J-STAGE Journal@rchive	◎Full text documents available ◎Abstracts available J-STAGE, a database which offers e-journals of Japanese academic societies. Journal@rchive, a database which offers the archive of major academic journals in Japan. Only those permitted by Academic Society can be searched also with CiNii. Academic Society which wants to be posted in CiNii needs to inform the secretariat of the Japan Science and Technology Agency.	Approx. 0.43 million items
