* Academic charges are applied to academic and research institutions (universities, junior colleges, technical colleges, inter-university research institutes, and educational and research institutions, etc.)
* For public libraries, a charge of 52,500 yen (including tax) will be applied for the moment. (Trial service)
* Overseas educational and research institutions are subject to the same charges as Japanese institutions.
Note 1:The "number of staff" is taken to be the number of teaching/research staff primarily conducting research on information relating to Japan.
Note 2:Institutions in developing countries (defined as countries listed in Part I of the OECD Development Assistance Committee's List of Aid Recipients) are subject to half the charges applied to other institutions.
* When usage starts partway through the fiscal year (April-March), the charge will be a pro rata charge based on the number of months of usage.
Example: A university with 90 teaching staff starting to use the service on July 1: 52,500 yen x (9 months/12 months) = 39, 375 yen.
* If usage is terminated partway through a year, an annual registration fee that has already been paid cannot be returned.
