About Site License Individual ID

This is an ID that can be obtained by members of institutions with fixed-price contracts (teaching staff, students, etc.). There is no annual registration fee.
Paid content can be accessed at rates lower than with Pay Per View.

• Advantages of having a Site License Individual ID
  By logging in with a Site License Individual ID, paid full text content can be viewed at lower rates than with Pay Per View.
  Even when accessing CiNii from a computer at home or other location outside your institution, the benefits offered to members of the institution apply.

Note 1: If you're logging in with an "Individual ID" instead of "Site License Individual ID", usage fees will be charged even if you are using a computer terminal at an institution with a contract.
Note 2: Some academic society members are eligible for special rates. We recommend that you register the academic society you belong to in your user information.

• Scope of service
  All CiNii functions can be used.
• IDs expire at the end of the fiscal year on March 31st.
  If you wish to continue using CiNii for the next fiscal year, please renew your ID. You may renew after April 1st of the next fiscal year, and only from the network of an institution under the fixed-price contract.See How can I renew my Individual ID? for more information.
• ID issuance
  Site License Individual IDs are issued automatically by the system and cannot be specified by the user.

Applying for a Site License Individual ID

Application for the Site License Individual ID can only be made from computer terminals within institutions with fixed-price contracts. (Once the ID is issued, CiNii can be accessed anywhere.)
To register, either click the New Registration button on the CiNii front page or select Site License Individual ID Application on the application page.

Institutional Login

If your institution set the Institutional Log in for CiNii, you can log into CiNii with the ID that was given by your institution.
This ID has the same usage value as a Site License Individual ID.
