New Registration Procedure (Site License Individual ID)

1. Click the "Sign up" link

2. Click "Apply for the Site license individual ID"

* "Apply for the Site license individual ID" can only be selected if you are registering from an institution with an institutional fixed-price contract.

* People not affiliated with an institution with an institutional fixed-price contract (including visitors, etc.) cannot apply for a site license individual ID.

3. Agreement with GeNii Service Usage Regulations/CiNii Service Usage Detailed Regulations

4. Enter your email address

* An email with a web link (URL) for usage application will be sent to the email address that you registered. Please enter the address which you can receive surely.

5. Click the web link (URL) that is in the email.

* Please access within 2 weeks. The URL is only valid for 2 weeks.

6. Enter the required items under User data entry (Site license individual ID)

* With a site license individual ID, the user ID is automatically allocated by the system.

• The user ID is notified by displaying it on the screen immediately after registration.

* Option settings

• If you are a member of an academic society contributing to ELS, please enter the name of the society that is registered and your membership number, etc. After confirmation by the NII and the academic society, you will receive notification by email. Special discounts for members accessing full papers through ELS apply after this notification is sent.

* Credit card payments for CiNii are handled through an arrangement with the PG Card Payment Processing Service provided by GMO Payment Gateway Inc.,which ensures strict confidentiality for handling of card information

9. Credit payment completed

10. Registration completed

* Registration number, user ID and the date of validity are displayed on the screen at the end of registration. Please copy this information for your personal reference.

* Special discounts for members will be applied after confirmed by the NII and the academic society. Please wait for the notification e-mail.

11. E-mail confirming registered information is sent.

* As soon as registration is complete, the system will automatically send and email comfirming the registered information. Please confirm that the information in the email is correct.

* User ID can be used immediately after registration is complete.
