  • インクジェットによる超微小液滴生成とクロマトグラフィーへの応用

    プリンターなどに用いられているインクジェットを用いて,ピコリットル~ナノリットルの液体試料を,高い再現性(吐出量,吐出位置,吐出速度)で目的部位に送達する方法を開発した.本論文では,ピエゾ型インクジェットの駆動装置,基礎的特性について述べ,次にガスクロマトグラフィー,キャピラリー電気泳動法におけるナノリットルレベルの微少試料導入法へ適用した例について著者らの研究を中心に概説する.

    接触角ヒステリシスは固体表面上での液滴の移動のしやすさを表す指標となる.直径がミクロンレベルの微小液滴のヒステリシスはこれまで測定例が少なく,未解明の部分も多い.本研究ではインクジェットと同様の方法で作製した微小液滴の乾燥過程を観察することでヒステリシスを定量化し,これに対する液滴の大きさや基板条件の影響を調べた.さらに,基板表面に設けた微細構造がヒステリシスに及ぼす影響を明らかにしている.
