抄録

The dissolution behavior of metallic tin plates in aqueous sodium hydroxide solutions was investigated. The dissolution rate was measured by weight changes of the samples under the conditions of 0.01∼1.0 mol/l-H₂O NaOH concentrations, 0∼750 rpm rotation speeds and 4∼87°C. The dissolution rate was mainly controlled by the diffusion of dissolved oxygen at temperatures higher than 30°C and the NaOH concentrations higher than 0.1 mol/l-H₂O. It was found that the dissolution rate of tin increases with increasing temperature and rotation speed, while its maximum rate was observed as the NaOH concentration increased.
