抄録

Recently, the environment surrounding domestic vessels has been confronted with some various problems. These are mostly caused less young-workforce and aging crews. We are, however, looking forward to the domestic vessels as an alternative method of transportation by motors. In order to solve those problems, a modernization for ships has initiated. Now, IBS, which integrates both information and control programme with the modernized equipments at high level has been focused on from a viewpoint of safety and economical operation.<BR>On-board LAN is inevitably required to integrate the IBS. In this paper, for the implementation of powerful IBS we propose UMS-50 integrated monitor data-logger system to which we applies ARCNET as LAN.
