抗菌性層状構造無機イオン交換体 Bactericidal Inorganic Ion-Exchangers with Layered Structures

層状構造無機イオン交換体であるアルミニウム置換トバモライト, Na<SUP>+</SUP>形テニオライトを合成し, 層間イオンを抗菌性イオンのAg+, Cu<SUP>2+</SUP>, Zn<SUP>2+</SUP>で一部イオン交換し, 大腸菌, 黄色ブドウ球菌などに対する抗菌特性を種々検討した・その結果Ag<SUP>+</SUP>型のものがもっとも殺菌力を有すること, Ag<SUP>+</SUP>形ドバモライトの殺菌効果は除放性のAg+に起因すること, Ag<SUP>+</SUP>形テニオライトではわずかに溶出したAg<SUP>+</SUP>と層間に固定されているAg<SUP>+</SUP>との複合効果であることが判明した.
Alminium substituted tobermorite which is one of cation-exchangers of layered calcicm sillcate type was synthesized hydrothermally from CaO, SiO<SUB>2</SUB>, Al (NO<SUB>3</SUB>) <SUB>3</SUB> and NaOH under saturated steam pressure at 175?°C. The caton exchange characteristics of the tobermorite to silver (I) ion has been investigated in aqueous solution at 25?°C. Tobermorites with different silver contents were prepared and tested on their antibacterial activities for <I>Eschericia coli, Staphylococcus aureus</I>, and Streptoverticillium reculum. All the tobermorites tested exhibited effective bactericidal activities.<BR>Taeniolite is a kind of fluorine mica contained in clay minerals. We prepared silver-, copperand zinc-holding taeniolites with the ion-exchange method. These taeniolites which held antibacterial metal were investigated with ragard to their disinfection effects against Escherichia coli (K-12 W3110) in water. Silver-holding taeniolite showed the strongest disinfection effect followed by copper- > zinc-holding taeniolite in that order. The disinfection mechanism of silver-holding taeniolite may be attributed to the synergistic effect of eluted silver ions together with silver ions in the silver-holding taeniolite.
