抄録

The various properties of surfactants derived from their molecular structure and these compounds are assuming greater scope of application. Many different types of surfactants have thus been produced. The importance of analyzing surfactants continues to grow.<BR>Methods have been mainly developed for surfactant analysis, using the latest analytical equipment and computers such as HPLC, GC, SFC, capillary electrophoresis (CE), flow injection (FIA), NMR and MS. A general method for analyzing surfactants is outlined in this review, quantitative analysis methods, significant for environment preservation and safety, are explained in detail. Recently developed analytical techniques for trace analysis using FIA, HPLC, LCMS and CE are also introduced.
