Abstract

The regional variations of sitostanol content in Setaria italics Beauv. seed and milled grain were investigated by GC-MS analysis. The result showed that each sample had a considerable variation in sitostanol content, ranging from 20 to 40% of sterols in total lipids. And also no difference was shown in sitostanol content between seeds and milled grains.
