Abstract

Dispersion of Rayleigh type surface waves have been studied in a liquid-saturated porous solid layer over a liquid-saturated porous half-space having a loosely bonded interface with the effect of pore alignment. Some special cases have been deduced by changing the depth of the layer. Frequency equation in the form of a determinant has been obtained. Dispersion curves giving phase and group velocities as a function of wave number have been plotted graphically for four different cases with a particular model.
