Porphyrin Architectures Constructed by CH…π Interactions : Synthesis and Crystal Structures of 5, 10, 15, 20-Tetrakis(4-methylchalcogenophenyl)-21H, 23H-porphyrins
Tetraphenylporphyrins substituted with methylchalcogeno groups (XMe: X = Te, Se, S, and O) were prepared. Crystal structure analysis revealed that a novel type of molecular alignments was achieved by intermolecular CH···π interactions between XC<I>H</I><SUB>3</SUB> and porphyrin π-systems.
