スパン方向に壁面温度が急変する平行平板間における縦渦列 Longitudinal Vortices between Parallel Plates Suddenly-changed Spanwise Wall Temperature
Longitudinal vortices formed in mixed convection in a duct with an aspect ratio of 30 and consisting of horizontal parallel plates with suddenly-changed spanwise wall temperature were studied by a flow visualization technique. As a result, it was found that the longitudinal vortex caused by the gravity current was formed in the flow region near the discontinuously-changed wall temperature, even at a Grashof number lower than the critical one, and those two kinds of longitudinal vortices were formed due to the gravity current and natural convection under super-critical condition.
