多関節翼まわりの流れの可視化 Flow Visualization around a Waving Wing

The flow around a waving wing model was visualized and measured. The waving wing model is consist of five parts connected with four joints. Every joint angle is controlled at any motion individually by means of personal computer. Furthermore, the sway and yaw motion are controlled separately around three quarter chord length, i.e., any two dimensional motion can be achieved with six channel control system.<BR>The flow pattern around the wing are visualized with tracer particles and laser sheet illumination. The flow around the waving wing and solid one has been compared, and they shows different vortex shedding process. The vorticity distribution has been obtained by means of image measurement system, and it shows the difference of flow pattern clearly.
