高粘性流体中におけるぜん動推進器まわりの流場の可視化解析 The Visualization Analysis of High Viscous Flow Field Induced by Peristaltic Propelling Device

As an effective propulsion system for the hydro-micromachine or a vehicle in very high viscosity fluid, peristaltic waving surface will be available. But in actual, this propulsion system causes radical vibration because the regular waving surface generates oscillating flow field and periodical change of pressure distribution extremely. But when the surface is moving as an amplitude modulated wave form this system propelled smoothly.<BR>In this research, the velocity field around regular and modulated waving surface in high viscosity fluid was measured by using particle tracking velocimetry. Spherical air bubbles are applied as tracer for PTV. The influence of buoyancy was not so much because of the high viscosity of fluid.<BR>The flow field around the regular waving surface and modulated one has been compared, and the result shows different flow pattern. Time averaged velocity field shows the modulated waving accelerates near the waving surface, and the flux does not depend on the depth relatively.
