Abstract
Rcently, with improving high-speed performance of vehicle, it has tendency that wiper characteristics can not be performed enough, because the wiper lift act on wiperblade and it cause decrease of power which press wiperblade against the windshield. To maintain good wiper characteristics in high-speed, fin is attached to wiperblade. However it can not be almost found that the study on the effect of fin on the wiper lift. So, we studied experimentary influence of the form of wiperblade and fin, and angle of fin on the wiper lift. On the other hand, wiperblade assembly consists of many small parts and the flow between parts is high Reynolds number. Thus, it is very difficult to realize visialiged flow pattern within wiperblade. We realized it by using water flow equipment and 5 scale models. As a result, we cleared that influence of form of wiperblade and fin, and angle of fin on the wiper lift.
