抄録
The powerful jet noise containing discrete frequencies has been studied for the wide pressure ratio range issuing from nozzles with exit divergent angles. The discrete frequency noise was discussed to clarify the noise characteristics and generation mechanism. The behaviors of subsonic jet and supersonic jet were visualized by the instantaneous Schlieren method. It was found that the discrete frequency of subsonic jet was affected considerably by the vortex structure and behavior. And the discrete frequency of supersonic jet was also affected by the shock wave structure.
