抄録

Standing wave motion in a duct is fundamental physical phenomena. And also finite amplitude wave motion in a duct with cross sectional area change is important for engineering applications. Normally propagating shock wave appears as the amplitude of the wave motion in a duct with constant cross section increases. On the other hand, the shock wave can be disappeared by using a duct with area change along the axis, however the finite wave motion in the duct with cross sectional area change has not been clarified. In this report, the finite wave motion in a duct with exponential area change is investigated experimentally by using hydraulic analogy technique.
