3次元分布した微小粒子に対するDepth-from-defocus法 A depth-from-defocus method for small particles distributed in 3-D space
In this paper, a depth-from-defocus method has been applied to the depth measurement for small particles distributed in 3-D space. The method uses a pair of images that are simultaneously taken with different camera settings, and the difference of blur parameter between the two images is estimated with their Fourier transforms. In numerical simulation, we examine the reliability of the present method and the effect of overrunning gray level limit on the blur estimation. Experiment is performed for the small particles attached to a flat plate, particles of which depth is known. The performance test results show that the blur estimation can be successfully carried out and the present method is useful for the depth measurement of the small particles distributed in 3-D space.
