模型プロペラ翼面上の限界流線とプロペラ効率の関係について On a Correlation Between Propeller Open Efficiency and Limiting Streamline on Model Propeller
To investigate the correlation between propeller open efficiency and limiting streamlines visualized by the oil film method, visualization experiments are performed for three model propellers having different pressure distributions under same design conditions. Limiting streamlines in laminar boundary layer (small friction stress) show large radius components, on the other hand those in turbulent boundary layer (large friction stress) show large circumferential components. Then, circumferential components of limiting streamline angle over whole propeller blade are averaged with a weighted function which represents the effect of friction forces. The weighted averaged values show reasonably good agreement with experimental propeller open efficiency.
