抄録

Flow and temperature patterns of natural convection in a thermo-syphon were visualized by using thermo-sensitive crystal capsule and nylon powders and the flow velocity was measured by means of PIV method. In addition 3-dimensional and steady numerical analysis was performed and compared experimental results.<BR>For wide distance between two heat transfer, spatially preiodic and stable temperature pattern was founded at the zone where hot upward and cold downward flows met, which formed the flow pattern of the figure"8"standing vertically in several rows.
