Abstract

We studied electrical resistivity and the Hall coefficient of single-crystalline samples of an oxide superconductor Sr2RuO4 under hydrostatic pressures up to 1. 2 GPa. The value of Tc decreases by ∼ 36 % at 1. 2 GPa, while no appreciable change in the resistivity or the Hall coefficient has been observed. At room temperature an unexpected increase of resistivity along the c axis occurs with increasing pressure.
