Abstract

We have found that the pressure derivative, dA/dP, of the coefficient, A, of the T2-dependence of the resistivity is proportional to -A, having almost the same coefficient, for a wide variety of materials including from transition-metal compounds to heavy Fermion systems. This behavior suggests there exists a basic nature determining transport properties in strongly correlated electron systems. In order to explain these high-pressure phenomena, a possible empirical relation between A and the electronic specific heat coefficient, γ, is also proposed.
