High Pressure Studies of the Non-Copper Superconductors KCa_2Nb_3O_<10> and RbCa_2Nb_3O_<10>

KCa<SUB>2</SUB>Nb<SUB>3</SUB>O<SUB>10</SUB> and RbCa<SUB>2</SUB>Nb<SUB>3</SUB>O<SUB>10</SUB> have triple layered perovskite structure similar to the High-Tc superconductors. Li intercalation into these samples induces superconductivity around 5 K and 4 K, respectively. The temperature dependence of resistivity was measured under high pressures with a n-butyllithium n-hexane solution as a fluid pressure transmitting medium. For KCa<SUB>2</SUB>Nb<SUB>3</SUB>O<SUB>10</SUB>, T<SUB>c</SUB>initially increases, but above 0. 5 GPa, T<SUB>c</SUB> monotonically decreases.
