湿潤発熱機能性アクリル繊維の開発 Development of Thermal Functional Acrylic Fibers having Heat of Wetting

This report is related to the development of the novel thermal functional fibers that generates the heat by moisture adsorption.Novel fibers were prepared by introducing amino group into acrylic and modacrylic fibers available in the market. The results are as follows.<BR> (1) Modified acrylic and modacrylic fibers, especially Acrylic-D, Acrylic-B and Modacrylic-X retained more or less good fibrous form.And showed 2 to 3 times exothermic value as large as wool fibers .<BR> (2) Although these modified acrylic and modacrylic fibers showed comparable amount of exothermic value by moisture adsorption each other, the extent of coloration of the fibers remarkably differed depending on copolymer component of their molecule and reactivity to amino group.<BR> (3) Modacrylic-X which contains halogenated compound as copolymer components reacted well with triethtylenetetramine, and the modified fiber showed the largest exothermic value of moisture adsorption .
