Abstract
Several control models are proposed and developed to distribute water in proper pressures and flows. The optimum control model of water distribution is the best one of them from the viewpoint of the cooperative operations and the controllability of global area. The optimum control method with pipe network analysis is a kind of known method having those advantages. But it doesn't work well in practical systems because it has no means of estimating the spatial variations of water demand in real time, which is the load upset of the systems. The proposed method resolves this problem by the optimizing method using monitored pressures and flows in the pipe network.<br>First, the problem of estimating the spatial variations of water demand is formulated. Then shown is the result of experiments in a practical system based on this formulation. Finally, the validity of this estimation is mentioned by being compared with the geographical data about the land use.
