抄録

The history of research, classification of recycling system, and the role of LCA on the decision of recycling system choices are reviewed. The reported methods to deal with recycling in LCA are classified: (1) loop closing, (2) system expansion, (3) partition, (4) urban ore, (5) input-output table approach, (6) system simulation approach. Typical results of research projects carried out in Japan and Germany on the comparison of plastics recycling systems are given.
