Abstract
A methodology for generating the procedure of a chemical plant operation is developed. PROSEG (Process Operating Sequence Graph) allows us to make the operational procedure according to the topology of the process, operational conditions and equipment specification. The method is applied to the start-up support system for a commercial plant and its effectiveness validated in this paper.<BR>From a practical point of view, emphasis is laid on a sequence control logic to ease of producing, reading and mainting. This approach allows respons to changes in operational conditions such as the composition of raw material. The results show that PROSEG is very useful and practical in comparison with the conventional sequence table method.
