液より低い密度の粒子を用いる場合の固液二相流の水平流, 上昇流, 下降流の流動挙動について実験的に検討した.水平流では粒子は管上部を摺動しながら流れ, 上昇流では粒子は管壁付近に, 下降流ではフロック状となって管中央部に偏在して流れた.流速が低いときには, 圧力損失は水平流, 下降流では液単相の場合より高く, 上昇流では低くなった.流速が高くなるにつれて, いずれの流動方向でも, 圧力損失は液単相の場合に近づいた.
Flow characteristics were experimentally examined for solid-liquid two-phase flow using particles with lower density than that of liquid. Three flow directions, i.e. the horizontal flow, upflow and downflow, were utilized. In the horizontal flow, the particles flowed in the upper side of the tube, contacting the pipe wall. In the upflow, they were concentrated at the pipe wall while in the downflow they were flocked at the pipe center. At a relatively low mean velocity, the pressure loss was higher in the horizontal flow and downflow, but it was lower in the upflow than that in the case of liquid flow. As the velocity increased, the pressure loss in each flow direction approached to that in the case of liquid flow.
