抄録

Snow and Ice are the cold heat energy sources in a cold climate. They are produced each winter and are free from environmental pollution. Recently, these excellent characteristics of snow and ice have been recognized, and many trials using snow and ice as a cooling source have been attempted. However they must be stored until the summer to be able as a cold heat energy source and so it is necessary to develop an economical storing technique.<BR>A Yukimuro of naturally produce snow has many advantages such as being simple to construct and fill. There have been many trials on the building and use, but no theoretical investigation on the thermal properties of such a Yukimuro.<BR>In this report, we introduced a method of thermal analysis for a Yukimuro. An experiment was performed to verify the thermal properties and close agreement was found between the observed and estimated values of the remaining snow. Some realistic methods to prevent snow melt are discussed and proposed in this report.
