抄録

One year has passed since the Container and Package Recycling Law was enforced.<BR>This law has faced various problems from the beginning. But due to the efforts of the parties concerned it is functioning somehow at present. There are still many problems we have to resolve by April 1, 2000 when the low is put into full effect. In particular, it is the serious problem that municipalities have to take over the financial burden imposed on small and medium sized companies. Furthermore, promotion of recycling and establishment of the recycling-oriented society are our future challenges.
