抄録

This paper seeks to clarify the formative process from planning to opening and utilization of the reconstructive small urban parks after the Kanto Earthquake which were related with the adjacent primary schools through an analysis of the archival materials and the interview with the old neighbors. It is proved that these parks become the effective open spaces to construct the schools smoothly, and the integration of each school and park was actualized by the skillful arrangements of schoolyard and entrance, but the utilization of each park formed a marked contrast according to the condition of the neighborhood.
