Microparticles and Colloidal Dispersions of Poly(3 - hexylthiophene)

Stable colloidal dispersions of poly(3-hexylthiophene) have been successfully obtained by a simple precipitation technique with selected poor solvents. Dynamic light scattering measurement revealed that the colloidal particles of poly(3-hexylthiophene) have the hydrodynamic radius of 20-40 nm with a narrow particle size distribution. The particle size can be controlled by the precipitation conditions.
