This paper proposes a model which describes optimal job-housing locational pattern considering their combination type. Typically, there are two types of combination: mixed type and separate type. The presented model minimizes the total traffic flow which consists of commuting and business trip, under the constraint of necessary road space. Vertical moves are also taken into account. Through numerical examples, the properties of locational patterns are discussed. First, the location patterns of jobs under the mixed type combination tend to disperse, but they bring us less traffic flow, comparing with the separate type. Second, when add the housing gross/net density constraint, the discrepancy of locational patterns between two is enlarged. This implies the importance of the combination type in discussing job location related issues.
