Abstract

Abstract
The complex [Mn(μ-phth)(phen)(H2O)2]·H2O (phth = o-phthalato; phen = 1,10-phenanthroline), in which an unusual isotactic coordination polymer chain is assembled by Mn(II) and o-phthalate dianion, an amphiphilic channel which has hydrophilic inside and hydrophobic outside is formed via hydrogen bonds, has been isolated and structurally characterized.
