<jats:title>Abstract</jats:title> <jats:p>The thermal stability and acidity of mesoporous materials can be greatly improved through the impregnation of phosphoric acid. The P-modified Al-MCM-41 shows potential application in the cracking of long-chain alkane for producing gas olefins, especially iso-butene.</jats:p>
