An intersting chiral metallohelical complex [Cd(C<SUB>4</SUB>H<SUB>4</SUB>O<SUB>4</SUB>)(SC(NH<SUB>2</SUB>)<SUB>2</SUB>)<SUB>2</SUB>]<SUB>n</SUB> (<B>I</B>) is spontaneous assembled. The formation is driven by multiple intramolecular hydrogen bond interactions to form the helical structure and by multiple intermolecular hydrogen bond interactions to form chiral supramolecular arrays.
