Seasonal flux of carbon dioxide was observed over the typical land covers in tropical monsoon environment as a part of GAME (GEWEX Asian Monsoon Experiment) campaign from 1998 to 1999. The land covers of complex area and paddy field region were selected as observation sites. From seasonal observational results over both land covers, the maximum values of daytime and nighttime CO2 fluxes over both land covers rainged from -1.2 to -1.0mg CO2m-2s-1 and from 0.2 to 0.5mg CO2m-2s-1 on the hourly basis in growing season, and they were similar to the observational results over same land covers in tem-perate environment. It also found that photosynthetic activiies was senn even in dry season over the both land covers and was suggested that there is the possibility of the carbon sink for them through a year. Evapotranspirated and photosynthetic pa-rameters to environmental factors during rainy seasons were extracted using canopy simple layer model combined with the canopy conductance model and bio-chemical model for each land cover. The effects of canopy conductance on environmental variables such as photosynthetic active radiation (PAR) and vapor pressure deficit (VPD) for paddy region was larger than that of complex area in rainy season. The calculated CO2 flux of paddy region exceeded that of complex area daytime radiative condition, and it was implied that it was attributed to the differences of the radiative characteristics such as penetration and re-flection for each canopy structure.
