抄録

The author reports a case of anorectal signet-ring cell carcinoma associated with anal fistula in Crohn's disease.<BR>A 41-year-old male, suffering from long-standing Crohn's disease with anal fistula for about 20 years, was admitted to our hospital because of anal pain. He had an anal tumor at the same region of the secondary opening of an anal fistula. A biopsy of the tumor showed signet-ring cell carcinoma. The tumor extended from anus to the upper rectum. After two cycles of chemotherapy with MTX and 5FU, Miles' operation was performed. Macroscopic findings of the resected specimen showed the diffusely infiltrating type (type 4), and microscopic findings suggested that this carcinoma may have arisen from anal fistula associated with Crohn's disease.
