Abstract

A 34-year-old man, who was diagnosed as Duchenne muscular dystrophy at 6 years old, with respiratory care from 18 years old, was admitted to our hospital because of treatment for obstructive jaundice. Operation and percutaneous transhepatic biliary drainage were impossible for heart failure and/or no observation by echo due to metaphresis of body respectively, so percutaneous transhepatic gallbladder drainage was performed. Jaundice disappeared and liver function was improved. But later liver dysfunction and pancreatitis appeared sometimes. So we inserted the tube with papilla of Vater dilation balloon through cystic duct of gallbladder, dilated papilla of Vater and pushed out choledocholithiasis to duodenum. Cholecystolithiasis was removed using basket forceps with cholangioscopy. Since liver dysfunction and pancreatitis disappeared.
