A case of primary malignant lymphoma of the male breast is so rare that only 4 cases including this case can be seen in the Japanese literature.<br> A 69-year-old man was admitted to the hospital because of a right breast mass. There was a 10-year history of receiving a sythesized estrogen for a prostatic cancer. The tumor was 13.0×9.0cm in size and involved the entire right beast, but was not fixed to the chest wall. The skin over the tumor was red, and an ulceration (2.0×2.0cm) was seen. Axillary, cervical and other lymph nodes were was not palpated. Thoracic and abdominal CT did not depict other tumor or lymph node swelling. Intraoperative biopsy revealed malignant lymphoma. Standard radical mastectomy was performed. Chemotherapy with CHOP was given 8 courses after the operation. Fourteen months later redness and swelling of the right breast appeared, and a recurrence of malignant lymphoma was suspected. Chemotherapy and radiotherapy were added. The patient developed dyspnea 16 months after the operation. Ga scintigraphy revealed accumulation of RI in the hiatus of the lung. Metastasis in the hiatus lymph node was suspected. The patient died of recurrence 18 months after the operation.
