抄録

A 22-year-old man was referred to the hospital for further evaluation of tender lower abdominal mass. The tumor was recognized in the mesentery of the small intestine by computed tomography and angiography of the superior mesenteric artery. The solid tumor involved surrounding organs, but we succeeded in performing a tumorectomy. The histological diagnosis was intra-abdominal desmoid tumor.<br> There have been only 6 cases in this country reported which had no complication of adenomatosis coli nor any history of undergoing laparotomy. The first choice of the treatment for this disease is surgical resection, if possible. But in many cases invasive tumor, residual tumor which originally invasive often reccurs. Appropriate post operative management has to be established.
