von Recklinghausen's (R) disease is characterized by the presence of cafe au lait spots and neuro fibro-mas. Moreover, it is well-known that the patients with R disease tend to have malignant tumors. However, there were few reports about the correlation between R disease and breast cancer. Here, we report two cases of breast cancer associated with R disease. One patient was 48-year-old woman and the other was a 39-year-old woman. They were performed a modified radical mastectomy (Br+Ax). Both of them had numerous cafe au lait spots and neurofibromas in the entire body. The correlation between R disease and breast cancer has been obscure, however, the reports about breast cancer associated with R disease have recently been increasing. Further inventigations are required to clarify the correlation between R disease and breast cancer.
