This paper focuses on some effects on the gust response of a cable-stayed bridge based on the full-scale measurement of wind pressure acting on the deck section. Prestressed concrete cable-stayed bridges are usually constructed by the cantilever construction method. During the construction, the structure is unstable and the gust response due to wind turbulence is easily induced. The gust response is usually predicted by wind tunnel tests or gust response analysis, however, there still exist some difficult features such as turbulent scale effects on gust force, the spatial correlation of wind velocity and force, and so on.<BR>This study investigates these matters based on the results of the full-scale measurement performed at Ikara Bridge. First, the spatial correlation of wind velocity and wind pressure obtained by the full-scale measurement was discussed. Then, the effects of turbulent scale on the fluctuating wind force and aerodynamic admittance were investigated by wind tunnel tests. And finally, the surrounding terrain effects on the wind turbulence was described.
