A 30-year-old woman had abdominal pain with a soft palpable mass in the upper umbilical region on the 4th day after birth. Abdominal CT scan and ultrasound showed findings of intussusception induced by a cystic mass. At laparotomy, a swollen appendix had intussuscepted into the ascending colon which was very loosely adeherent to the retroperitoneum. Ileocecal resection was performed. Resected appendix was filled with geratinoid substance, then we diagnosed as appendeceal mucocele.<br> In a patient of intussusception with a cystic mass observed even at upper umbilical region, especially in the puerperium, clinicians would consider a possibility of appendiceal mucocele with mobile cecum.
