Abstract

A 3-year-old female thoroughbred with malignant lymphoma were histopathologically studied. The affected tissues showed diffuse proliferation of lymphoid cells at various stages of differentiation and their cytoplasm contained numerous dilated rough endoplasmic reticulums and free ribosomes as well as round shaped and sometimes fused Russell bodies which were homogeneous weakly IgG-positive and moderately electron-dense. Some plasma cells were IgM-positive.
