抄録

Diagnosis is defined as examination, judgment of the condition of disease, and decision-making on treatment. The availability of diagnosis will be established with enhancement of reproducibility, validity, and universality. To that end, quantitative examination, clear criteria for judgment, and highpredictive accuracy of therapeutic effect and risk, are indispensable. I am concerned here, first, withquantitative examination by reviewing articles involving our research. In addition, ideal criteria forjudgment, methods for predicting therapeutic effect, and problems to be solved, will be discussed.
