抄録

A 55-year-old woman presented with a mass in her left breast. Mammographic findings showed heterogeneous density existed with a spiculation within the breast. The tumor manifested a multicystic mass ultrasonographically, and an aspiration biopsy cytology suggested a type of ductal carcinoma. A modified radical mastectomy with lymph node dissection was performed. Histologically, many cystically dilated ducts contained thyroid colloid-like eosinophilic secretions. The ducts were lined by an intraductal micropapillary carcinoma with hobnail-shaped cells. In a few foci, invasive compornents were present. Estrogen receptors were negative. There was no evidence of nodal metastasis. The patient is alive and well without any evidence of recurrence 42 months after the operation.
