A STUDY ON A PEDAL-OPERATED RICE THRESHER IN MALAWI

抄録

A Chinese Rice Thresher was modified and tested for performance on-station and on-farm in comparison with hand (local) means. The results showed that the mechanical threshing was superior to the hand means in terms of capacity, efficiency, power requirement and germination percentage. Further more farmers expressed strong interest for the technology.
